Raw Material Intake

Raw material intake is the first step of the production process. The raw materials that are transported to the mill are discharged into the intake pit.

In production facilities, intake pit filters are used to control the dust generated from unloading materials at the intake units. Intake pit filters are placed along the pit. They pull the air through filter cloths using a fan. The dust is contained in the filter cloths. After aspiration, the filter cloths are treated periodically with pressurized air by pulse valves. The filter cloths are cleaned to recycle the dust back into the intake pit.

The raw materials are then transported to the elevators by the screw conveyors and conveyors under the pit. Next, they are passed through magnets and drum sieves to remove any foreign materials. Finally, they are transported to the dosing silos.
